Hello NESA Family!

What a spectacular opening week we had with Guys and Dolls! If you were lucky enough to catch a performance, I know you agree: the students, musicians, directors, and crew did a phenomenal job! I’m still humming along to "Adelaide's Lament" and "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat," and chuckling at that classic line about milk! What a fantastic way to kick off our season! If you haven't seen it yet, get your tickets for this weekend, as it will be our final run.

🌟 Encore! A Friendly Reminder on Audience Etiquette As we move forward with the rest of this exciting season, I wanted to share a few friendly reminders to help ensure every patron has the best possible experience and to celebrate the community spirit that makes NESA so special.

Silence is Golden (And Appreciated!) We all love a good movie night at home, curled up on the couch, where we can shout advice at the screen or chat about plot twists with our family (seriously, don't go in there!!), but the theater is a unique, shared experience. We are asking everyone to please remain quiet during the show. Even soft whispers can carry, and your fellow audience members are there to immerse themselves in the amazing performance. Let's show our incredible student performers the respect of a focused and attentive audience!

Let's Keep Our Space Sparkling Clean! The NESA auditorium is a sacred space for creativity and community, and we are all responsible for keeping it beautiful. We are a family, and when a mess is made, our family has to clean it up.

What many audience members don't see is the dedication of our actors, musicians, and crew who, on top of giving an amazing performance, spend time cleaning the auditorium afterward. And we definitely want to be mindful of our wonderful custodians—a truly valued part of our family—who had to spend several extra hours cleaning up on opening night.

Let's treat our space like a national park: take out what you bring in, and leave the place better than you found it. A few extra seconds to clean up your area makes a world of difference for our students and staff!

Cell Phone Curtain Call We know that life happens, but a gentle reminder that there is NO RECORDING allowed at any NESA performance unless explicitly announced.

If you receive an emergency call or text, please be a star and quickly excuse yourself to the lobby to take care of it. The middle of a magnificent performance is not the time for scrolling through social media or playing games! The incredible talent on stage deserves your full, undivided attention anyway!
