Director's Note
Out of Office... for the BEST reason!
I will be out of the office from October 15th through October 20th, and itβs for one of the most exciting, educationally vibrant, and flat-out best reasons possible!
I have the immense privilege of joining Ms. Villarreal and our talented Film students on an amazing trip to New York City!
Why the Big Apple? Because the talent in our Film program has been officially recognized on a national stage! A significant number of our student films have been accepted into the All American High School Film Festival in New York. This isn't just a fun field trip; it's a monumental recognition of the hard work, creativity, and skill our young filmmakers pour into their craft.
We are SO incredibly excited to represent NESAl!
While we are soaking up the electric energy of NYC, our schedule is packed with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities designed to inspire and educate our students:
Film Immersion: We'll be attending multiple screenings, participating in cutting-edge masterclasses, and joining informative sessions on all aspects of filmmaking.
Behind the Scenes: We have secured a fantastic tour of the NBC Studios and will even be attending a live taping of an NBC show!
Culture & Future: The students will get a taste of college life during a university campus tour and will learn about the rich history of New York City itself.
This trip is a testament to the powerful learning and artistic expression happening every day in our classrooms.
Please know that while I am away, our excellent LEE administrative team will be on hand to handle any immediate needs. I encourage you to reach out to them if you need assistance during my absence.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and their artistic endeavors. We canβt wait to bring back stories, knowledge, and hopefully, some awards!
Wishing you a wonderful week! -Marisol Askey
